Today was a very emotional day for me! I have a regular dog walking client that I see anywhere between 1-3 times per week. Their dog’s name is Reese and she is a chocolate brown Cocker Spaniel. She is as sweet as can be and always gives out an excited little whimper when I arrive at the house for her daily dog walk. Reese is crated, so the first thing I do when I arrive, is go upstairs and let her free! She runs like the wind down stairs right to where her leash sits. She sits on the stair case with her little butt wiggling away as she whimpers, almost baby like! I get her hooked up and out the door we go for our walk.
Today I came to her house for her walk and found the following card:
This card brought tears to my eyes. Why? For several reasons. One, I will miss Reese a lot! That is always the sad part of the job, if someone moves on, leaves or even passes away. I get very attached. How can you not? And two, what a wonderful, thoughtful card to leave. I am so happy that my clients are happy and even more so that they know I love their pets as much as my own.
Here is Reese and I on our last walk today.
