Horsham Pet Sitting FAQs

How do I get started?
The first thing you need to do is select the new client button or give us a call! We will then contact you to set you up on our online reservation system and with your FREE consultation to meet you and your pets.
What happens during the meet and greet?
During the meet and greet, we introduce ourselves to you and your pets. We go over anything needed within your home such as where your dog/cat eats, where the food and leashes are, etc. We answer any questions that you may have. The meet and greet will be approximately 30 minutes and of course is FREE!
If a second meet and greet is needed, a regular visit fee will be charged.
What services do you offer?
We offer daily dog walks, cat sitting, vacation sits for your pets, overnight stays and more! View our services page to learn more.
Do you recommend a certain number of visits per day while we are on vacation?
We recommend a minimum of 1 visit per day for cats and three per day for dogs. These services can be tailored to your needs.
Will we have the same dog walker/pet sitter every time?
While we do work as a team, we know that pets form strong bonds with their walkers and sitters. We try to have two people come to the consultation so that we always have a backup. There are times our employees would like to have a day off or scheduling could be tight and we may need to send someone else. If you are a vacation client and need visits starting at 7 am and ending at 10 pm, there is a likelihood you will have two sitters. You are always welcome to have a meet and great with any new person. Always know that our dog walkers and sitters have background checks, are employees and are bonded and insured through our business.
What areas do you service?
We currently service parts of Bucks and Montgomery Counties. If you do not see your service area, please ask us! See a map of our service area.
What pets do you care for?
We care for most pets including but not limited to dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, birds, turtles and even farm animals. If your pet is not listed, just ask us!
Do you charge for multiple pets?
At this time, Dawn the Pet Nanny LLC does not charge for multiple pets.
Are you bonded and insured and pet cpr certified?
Yes! We are bonded and insured and current on our cpr/first aid certification.
How do I pay for service?
We currently accept cash, check or Visa/Mastercard. We ask that you leave payment if you are paying in cash or check for the sitter to pick up at the beginning of your service. If you choose to use a credit card, you will enter that information into our online portal. Billing will be taken care of by us and you will receive a copy of your receipt by email.
Should I tip my dog walker or pet sitter?
While tips are not expected, they are definitely appreciated. 100% of tips go directly to your dog walker or pet sitter.
Do we need to give you a key?
Yes! We always ask for two keys. If you are a vacation client, there is a likelihood that we will need two sitters to complete the visits. We also ask for two keys so that we always have a backup in case of an emergency. All of our keys are marked with the pets name only and keys are kept in a safe place with the dog walker or pet sitter. Extra keys are kept in our safe!
You are always welcome to give us a garage code, door key code or have us use a lock box. We will always ask for at least one backup key if you are choosing a garage code.
